Dodge also adds a new Blacktop Redline package for the R/T. It’s not just a decal kit—it brings gloss-black 20-inch wheels, blackout badging, and SRT-style aerodynamic tweaks at the front and rear.
The new standard 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 delivers 360 horses and a deep, familiar rumble every time you start it up. For drivers who want more bite, the R/T’s 6.4-liter “392” V-8 pushes output to 475 horsepower and pairs with the same smooth-shifting 8-speed automatic transmission found throughout the lineup. Rear-wheel drive comes standard, but all-wheel drive remains available.
When it comes to towing, the numbers speak for themselves. Properly equipped, the 2026 Durango tows up to 8,700 pounds, a figure that puts it ahead of most other midsize SUVs. Whether it’s a boat, camper, or trailer full of ATVs, the Durango handles heavy loads with ease.
