Beyond that an administrative change was made to a package available on the LS trim, the Driver Confidence II package was updated to include more safety features such as blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert. It now costs $395 for the added features instead of just $195 for a backup camera.

The Equinox is Chevy’s best-selling vehicle behind the Silverado (which is doing its best to upset the F-150 as the best-selling truck in America.) The Equinox is incredibly sought after for its classic styling, great pricing and availability. The compact SUV competes against the Honda CR-V, Volkswagen Tiguan and Ford Bronco Sport.

The Equinox starts at around $28,000 and can be purchased fully loaded for near $33,000. The CR-V starts at around $31,000 and can climb near up to $40,000 for higher level trims and with add-ons. When paired with front wheel drive the engine makes for 26 mpg in town and 31 mpg on the highway. Adding all wheel drive will decrease those numbers to 24 mpg in town and 30 mpg on the highway. This SUV is designed for class and comfort while on the road, not necessarily for speed. It delivers a smooth ride.
