2026 Chevy Traverse Z71 vs LT

The LT may be the entry point, but stripped down, it is not. Chevy loads it with comfort and convenience features that cover most daily needs. Heated front seats and a heated steering wheel come standard, along with a power-adjustable driver's seat and tri-zone automatic climate control. The cabin is anchored by a large 17.7-inch touchscreen paired with an 11-inch digital instrument cluster, giving the interior a modern, tech-forward feel. Google Built-In is part of this picture, and navigation and voice commands are handled directly through the system. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto also come standard.

Practical touches matter on the outside, too, thanks to a hands-free power liftgate and Trailering package with a hitch, cooling upgrades, and trailering guidance features. Buyers who want to personalize the LT can add the Sun and Wheel package for a panoramic sunroof and 20-inch wheels, or choose the Midnight or Sport Edition for black exterior accents and gloss-black wheels. Synthetic leather seating and a second-row bench seat for eight-passenger capacity are also available.

The Z71 builds on that foundation with hardware aimed at drivers who leave pavement behind more often. It adds increased ground clearance, a suspension tuned for rougher surfaces, and all-terrain tires mounted on gloss-black 18-inch wheels. Visually, it stands out with red tow hooks and a front skid plate, while the interior adopts a darker look with black synthetic leather and red stitching. Terrain-specific drive modes help manage snow, dirt, or uneven ground. Like the LT, the Z71 features available upgrades such as a panoramic sunroof, Super Cruise, and a 360-degree camera system.
